New Forest Access For All Awards 2013

For some people, being able to enter their local shop or access facilities in their community can be difficult. Even the most able person may be greeted with obstacles such as steps or narrow aisles. An organisation that provides a welcome atmosphere and improved access can make a real difference.

Say thanks...

If an organisation in the New Forest makes life easier for you, why not nominate them for a New Forest Access for All Award so they can be rewarded for their efforts? We're now inviting nominations for the 2013 awards. This is your chance to say thanks to those who have made a special effort to improve access for people with disabilities or frail members of the community.

The award categories are:

  • Recreation including holidays, clubs and any recreational activity
  • Transport such as taxis, buses, trains, ferries or local car hire companies
  • Community facilities such as council departments, medical practices, libraries and services
  • Food and retail including shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, travel and estate agencies

To vote, simply complete the nomination form NFAFA Awards Form 2013 PDF Document and send it back to us or hand it in to any council office or health and leisure centre in the New Forest.

Alternatively, you can email your entry to equalities@nfdc.gov.uk. The closing date for nominations is 10 September 2013.

Everyone who makes a nomination will be entered into a prize draw to win a box of chocolates. Good luck!
