Cllr Holding at Immortal 7th event

New Forest remembers the Immortal 7th

The council paid tribute to heroes of the 'Immortal 7th' Division, who played a vital role in the First World War, at a commemorative event in Lyndhurst. Chairman Councillor Maureen Holding was joined by local councillors, Julian Lewis MP and representatives from the Royal British Legion, and 17 Port and Maritime Regiment in Marchwood.

Individual Electoral Registration

The way we all register to vote has changed across the country

Most electors have transferred to the new electoral register automatically, but some residents may need to take action to join the new register, even if they were registered in the past.

During July/August we wrote to all our residents to tell them whether they had transferred to the new register or if they needed to take further action. If you were asked to re-register and have yet to do so, you will be visited by one of our Electoral Registration Canvassers during September/October to assist you in completing the necessary form(s).

Alternatively follow the guidance on how to register under the new system or telephone us on 023 8028 5445 and we will complete the on-line registration on your behalf. You will need to provide your date of birth and national insurance number.
