Could your home be on screen?

Cllr Harris Film New Forest Local property owners can find out how their buildings or land could be used for filming at a Film:NewForest event being held at Careys Manor (Brockenhurst) next month (11 October at 4.30pm).

The free session is aimed at local land owners, hoteliers, attractions, and local residents who own properties such as pubs, warehouses, cottages, unique homes, and anyone who would be interested to welcome filming opportunities and earn money through location fees.

The event will also include Creative England's Crew Networking Event, giving local crew the opportunity to meet local industry contacts.

Cllr Michael Harris, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development, New Forest District Council, said: "Filming brings real economic benefit to the New Forest, both in monetary terms and in the opportunities it provides for skilled employment and with our partnership with Creative England.

"Film and TV drama crews shooting on location can spend up to £40,000 per day in an area on local goods and services, and with the recent success of ITV's 'Unforgotten' and Channel 4 documentary 'A Year in the New Forest', Film:New Forest are seeking to expand their local filming locations database to continue this success."
